Who Are "We"?

A quick note on the two people behind Le Lévrier et La Levure Christine LaLiberté is a native to the Eastern Townships, and has returned to the area after a career in science, running labs in both Montréal and Toronto. After a near fatal accident in 2015, Christine bought a farm in Southern Ontario, and pursued academic and practical qualifications in sustainable agriculture. Christine is currently enrolled in the brewing program at Semenaire de Sherbrooke. Her passions for good beer and good food intersect with deep professional interests in agriculture and science. Harry Jennings is originally from Georgia, and has spent much of his life in Pennsylvania and Virginia. Professionally he has had three careers: in construction, professional football (soccer), and finance. He learned to brew beer with his father in the early 1970s when homebrewing was still illegal. A homebrewer himself for over 40 years, he has refined his skills to brew beers that are approachable, yet robust. He is enrolled in the Brewery Owner Program at IAP college as well as Bread and Pizza making at Knead and Know. Together Harry and Christine share passions for food, beer, and greyhounds. The name "Le Lévrier and La Levure" is a play on a typical construction of English pub names. Rather than choosing something like "The Unicorn and the Dragon" our name reflects two magical creatures, both of whom actually exist. We hope to create a space where the products of the yeast -- pizza and beer -- can be shared in dog friendly space (non-greyhounds welcome.)
